Loved by Jesus, Loving Others… Messiah Lutheran Church has been spreading the love of Jesus to the community of Ewa Beach since 1960. It is our great desire to rejoice always in God’s grace while seeking to know His will more perfectly.
At Messiah Lutheran Church, we believe faith is not just something you hold, it’s something you share. Rooted in Sola Scriptura, Sola Gratia, and Sola Fide, we center our life together on God’s Word, the Sacraments, and the promise of Christ’s unshakable grace.
Here, you’ll find a small but vibrant community, a family of faith that laughs together, prays together, serves together, and welcomes all with open arms. We Believe.

We boldly confess the Triune God; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We share our faith with these words:
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth,
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
from there He shall come to judge the living and the dead.I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Christian Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.

There is nothing that we can do to add or take away from the work that Jesus has already accomplished for us through his death and resurrection. We simply trust in the completed work of Jesus.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith.” Ephesians 2:8 -
The Bible is God’s Word to the world. Inspired, Inerrant and all about Jesus. Everything we need to know about who God is and what he has done is written in his Word.
“All Scripture is breathed out by God…” 2 Timothy 3:16 -
Jesus accomplished what we could never do; he lived the perfect life and died the death that was meant for us. Jesus is God himself who came into our world to take the punishment for our sin and guilt.
“There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name…by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12 -
We are saved only because God chooses to save. He is a good God who has shown undeserved mercy and love on us sinners through sacrifice of his Son, Jesus.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 -
We exist to make God’s name known, not our own. He deserves all credit and glory for who he is and all that he has done. We want more and more people to share in bringing glory to our God!
“Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!” Psalm 115:1
We Are Graciously and Uniquely Lutheran
Specifically we are associated with the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
To be Lutheran simply means that we accept the scriptural truths that inspired the reformation of the Christian Church in the 16th century and led to a renewed focus on the Gospel.
As a result we uphold an extravagant and mysterious view of God’s love: that man is saved purely by God’s grace through faith alone, apart from works. We believe that God is so loving and powerful that he is actively working through His Word as well as saving and sustaining sinful men, women and children through his mysterious gifts of baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
